So early in the morning at 6:00 people started digging with shovels and picks. They dug at a pace of 8 meter per hour in depth. Later in the day around 9:00 the machine started digging with their drills they drilled at about 14 meters per hour. The machines never slowed because they had to be plugged into outlets (ginourmous outlets). The machines and people had to dig in two separate places or else the people would be crushed by the massive drills. Both groups had to dig 40 meters.
